The purpose of the Westville Elementary School's P.T.O., (Parent Teacher's Organization) is to:
Promote the welfare of children within the Westville school community.
Raise the quality of parenting skills within the Westville community.
To bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the raising of the child.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education.
This organization holds five parent/student meetings during the school year. These meetings are held during the months of Aug/Sept., November, February, March and May. Each meeting revolves around a student activity such as a Grade Level Information Meeting/Open House, a S.T.E.M. Night and Science Fair, a Family Game Night, a student Art Show, and a student awards program for their participation in the classroom and also in the school's Accelerated Reader program. Each of these meeting begins no later than 6:00 P.M.
PTO Mission Statement: To enhance the quality of ALL Westville Elementary students' education by sponsoring and coordinating events involving the entire elementary school community.
